Floating Key is a nomadic curatorial platform centering Black elevation in Naarm. Launching on January 31, 2018 at Afro Hub in Carlton North. Floating Key presents a lyrical poetry reading on hair, and a communal dining experience. Our first action will focus to establish a virtuous economy around social engagement and the sharing of innovative thought amongst Black peers and POC communities. Floating Key acknowledges that the launch and the initiative takes place on stolen and occupied land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We recognize Black Indigeneity at the epicenter for which the movement operates. We recognize that sovereignty was never ceded.
